Only a smal flight yesterday with Air Baltic from Riga to St. Petersburg. The aircraft is the Wilco Boeing 737-500 "Evo"... I have no idea what on this aircraft is "evo". I have heard, that QW did a new Boeing 737-300/-400/-500. Good idea. A lot of these often former aircraft of american airlines are now in Russia an it´s neighbors. Air Baltic want to be one of the first customers of the new Bombardier Regional Jets. They have anounced, to build up their fleet with 6 and maybe more of this brandnew aircraft. They replace the Boeing 737-300 and -500. This is the second step. First, was, that Air Baltic´s two Boeing 757´s are gone and also the 15 examples of the Fokker 50, replaced by 8 Bombardier DASH 8Q-400NextGen. On this destination flown today the DASH 8 is normaly in use.

The parking area is under normal circustances the of Ryanair... but this is not "strategic" for me.

Taking Off from runway 34...

... and flying on the coast of the Baltic Sea, meanwhile over lithuanian territory.

Now we leave the coast, flying a bit South...

crossing the Ladoga Sea

Good thing in lesser weather conditions, that the Boeing 737-500 has Autoland.

Everything is looking fine.

ULLI - St. Petersburg Pulkovo. We are here.

Meanwhile I use the DX-10-Modus of FSX with Steve´s Scenery-Fixer.
The airports are from avsim.su. I have further OPUS for the weather in use and FTX Global and FTX Vector Global and Landclass from scenery Tech because UT Europe has no baltic countries neither Russia nor Moldovia and the Ukraine.
