laugh.gif I think if you write B-29 in Cyrillic, it comes out as Tu-4

Lovely paint, though thumbup1.gif

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

They scored a load off Bull well before Korea, they simply did not want to hand it back saying they did not have a B-29 ... wasn't until they started to ask for spare parts unsure.gif for the plane they did not copy bolt for bolt that they did not have by that stage almost a dozen laugh.gif ... Nah nah ... we want part for new plane we are making rolleyes.gif

yes they acquired a few from an emergence landing

as the soviets didnt have anything in that class at that time, the planes where stripped down to and drawings where made of every component and then TU commenced work making their own copies

the planes where identical with exception of the engines, bomb sights, and the 12.7mms where replaces with large cal cannons
