Part of a new series of pictorial flight guides I am working on... Enjoy.

Add-ons used:
1. MegaSceneryEarth 2.0 Oregon Complete State Photoreal Scenery
2. Carenado B1900D
3. FS Global Ultimate: The Americas (terrain mesh)
4. REX Essentials (clouds/sky).

=============================================================

Ready to depart at Brookings (KBOK)

Departing north from Brookings. This airport is on the coast near the southern Oregon border with California.

About to begin turn to the right to head for Illinois Valley. Up ahead just off the coast are the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuges.

Established on track direct to Illinois Valley (3S4). Some bare rock mountain tops below.

Wild, rugged beauty and not one repeated texture tile to be found!

Over the southern part of the Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area

Great clarity and 3D effect on the trees below the aircraft. This is during our descent into 3S4.

We are just a few miles north of the Oregon-California border.

Out of the mountains and into the valley. 3S4 is to our left, but we will turn right for downwind and make a 180 degree turn back left for approach to the airport.

There is Illinois Valley airport below to the left. This is just before our right turn for an extended downwind to bleed off some altitude.

An incredible view of the mountainous terrain as we have the hard 180 degree turn back to the airport.

I'm still fairly high, but descending fast at low speed, so nothing to worry about... except your eardrums! Airport at 12 O'Clock.

And we're here. Ready to depart again for the next leg...

A short but very interesting flight over mountainous terrain. As soon as you clear a little altitude above the mountains, its time to start the descent back down to Illinois Valley. Approx 27nm journey.
Hope you enjoyed the views!

Cool pics Dean! Loving the Carenado B1900D, so its one of my options to choose if I win this month's screenshot comp on my poll here
