One thing I did was hire a Cessna to double check on Canterbury /Christchurch to get a feel of scenery back in 2002/3 thru Rob in the back. Later I did flying in this type at Ashburton, only a couple hours - that,s were I prefer the Canterbury Aero Clubs Piper so it going to be great to compare. Nice screen Paul smile.gif

This and Paine field are my home airports in RL. Love it!

Thanks guys.

I must say Rick that the PNW is rather wet and overcast area...it seems to be always or near raining when I load it! Love to see Paine field....any interesting aircraft based at Harvey?

Also on the hunt for another Orbx air field in the area. I have Darrington, Concrete and Orcas. Thinking about Skagit or Jefferson or maybe Diamond Point - any recommendations?

During the winter it is very wet. However we've had an unbelievably warm and sunny spring this year. I guess it depends on when you are flying or what weather data you are using. It's been very sunny and mostly blue skies all last week we're only starting to get some cloud coverage again but it is on the outs at this point. Seattle was rated as best city for summer in the US based on many factors but overall because of the mild Temps and humidity mixed with sun and out door activities. It's a PNW secret...

As far as new PNW airports...I don't own any other than Harvey...and it's spot on. The Paine field as part of the PNW region is better than default but not really accurate at all. In RL Orcas island is very cool. Skagit county is very nice. Anacortes is very cool...if you want to try and get a little more mileage in your flights you could go with Spokane about ~200 nm away from Seattle area and you'd have a nice airport to land at. It very detailed in Orbx. I really wish they would produce a good Paine field with the two historical flight museums and AI traffic. Flying Heritage Collection (Paul Allen's) and the Historic Flight Foundation (John Session's) are both museums which are dedicated to air worthy restorations. Some of the most technically accurate restored warbirds are in these collections. Would love to see Orbx release it down the road!
