'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Ian -
Timing is good, but download at 64kb/s is not. Perilously close to being throttled now, and it won't reset until Sunday sad.gif

I wonder how small the extra charge is , here its about 2.50 for one Gig , I've hit the limit myself and I don't reset till the 6th.

I don't have that option on this plan..8GB/month then throttled. There are newer plans, which charge for overage at a ridiculous rate , something like 10c/MB.
For what I normally do, 8GB is plenty, but there was a lot of Skype video calling on a family matter, which chawed up a lot of bandwidth.
Not being a premium member at flightsim (I was once, years ago, to make the most of my slow satellite internet), if I know I will be going over, I wait until the throttling kicks in and pull in some big downloads at the slow speed, while I escape into a book.
That activity does not reduce next month's allowance - when it rolls over, I start with the full 8GB.

You should check that Ian as that's what mine used to be but now it's $2.95 for 2Gb - at least one good thing came from Vodafone taking over . . . January was my worst month this year with 10Gb extra data used . . .it's all these Orbx downloads and updates . . . not that I'm complaining of course because I do like the eye candy they supply biggrin.gif

Don't know about NZ, but here in Oz, much of the infrastructure is still very primitive, so there is a wide range of plans, including unlimited access, but there is no point in paying for capacity you can't possibly consume in a month, because your connection speed is too slow. Oz is a big place - Queensland where I live would encompass most of continental Europe on its own.

Yeah, well those prices were for exceeding the data on our plans (they range from about 10Gb to about 80Gb/month) but unlimited ones are also available for not much more. So if I regularly used an extra 10Gb it would be worth my while upgrading to one of the unlimited plans. Sad but that's the way it is.

Makes sense when you live in a remote area. Wikipedia says the populationdensity in NZ is around 17 persons / km2. Here in Holland it's like 406 persons /km2 so the infrastructure isn't as expensive. I still would go over that limit you guys have every month though biggrin.gif
