Fabulous stuff guys, and what a great turnout. Shame I had to miss this, was about as far away from my FSim rig as I could get for the weekend without leaving the country smile.gif

Haha, nice, yeah we didnt get anywhere near skiing due to the cr@p weather, but was a nice weekend away. Nearest thing to an aircraft I saw was a couple of C172s parked at the mighty Taumarunui airfield smile.gif

Perhaps we can try FSHost so P3D people can join

We tried FS host a few months back, me and Sean with dismal results, it simply did not want to play in the ball park for some reason, more than willing to try and try it again, all to bring others in for the fun .

Really enjoyed the fly in guys. Sorry I didn't have comms working. Had TeamSpeak running but couldn't hear anyone. Need some training I think. Couldn't workout how to change the radio channel either, real old radio, had to suffer the weather channel from Whenuapai for the whole trip duh!

Can't wait to do it again,

Paul

Awesome screenshots, this really does look like great fun. I wondered how it had gone yesterday and would've loved to take part, but it was too late for me (The start time was 2.30am in the UK). Any chance of doing one on a Saturday morning some time? Would be good to find a timeslot which is feasible for both the US and UK.

My sole experience of MP was the flight you showed me at your place, but I'd like to try it out for myself. I understand that if you use FSHost, FS9ers (and earlier) can join in as well as P3D users. I still have FSX for now, but maybe not for much longer. Might be worth seeing if I can connect to your FSX using FSHost and P3D.

I spend eleven months of the year in the UK and one in NZ. I'm hoping to improve that... ;-)

Sure we can sort something out for the time slot , dang pity about the time TZ's , Sean setup times to suit the eastern US and to him making it late evening and giving us the early mid afternoon slot, hence the turnout .

We tried the FShost with FSX and it was horrid , may have been the connection always worth another go at it .

The advantage with FS Host is that there are zillions? of Servers to use, and each one shows its ping rates!

I/we use them all the time, and all for free. Make a selection of a quiet one from the list, and connect in seconds!
The advantage is that the FS Host Servers are on-line for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

FSHost Spy:

http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshostspy/

Perfect for FS 2004'ers, and FSX Users with "FS Host Client" for connection.

Just pick a Server from the list, let all your mates know the IP address on the Forum, or on a PM, and you are all away, all sharing the same Server!

...easy-peasy!

Paul.... biggrin.gif ...!

I didn't read in detail, but I got the impression you could download and run FShost on your machine if you wanted to host session(s)? Didn't notice whether there was a cost to that or not.

It may have been a bad connection on that month, always worth trying it out again and see what we get .
