I very much think the C130 will be very much replaced by the type unless the bribe come through to the NZ Gov from another.

Oh well , its a nice thought . I remember years ago Naki and i" rebuilding" the RNZAF , one thing we did agree on was the A-400M ... not sure how we ended up regarding the herk.
Would be an interesting exercise to do again .... lets assume there are no budget constraints ,and take into account the present world situation and ..... re equip the RNZAF , as well as Army/Navy aviation.
Maybe start a new thread somewhere , Ive always been a fan of "what if"
Not just a wish list .... but a good look at what our role is in the region , what the neighbors are using , our own priority's .... just a thought . Seems a bit hard to coax much reaction to anything here lately , but its out there now , and i would be interested in some intelligent input.

Interesting fact if the larger Helo's need to be deployed in a hurry I guess they lease a lifter or HMNZS Canterbury for the lessor emergency's .

With Marty's posting the Airfix Herc , least the paint from the model , you AB mentioning the A400, .... then just shows the lack off insight by the Brit's and the RAF with the Short Belfast able to carry bigger/larger loads than a C130, they are now 50 years old and still doing a job , only one left but crikey- only 10 built.
