I had a day, afternoon , was four plus hours reading about the Neptune , pulled both books, one thing pointed out about the type , WWII design again but how versatile it was, even scored and created the record for a twin engine aircraft in its weight class to fly on one engine from Barbers Point in Hawaii to Half Moon Bay , San Francisco , well over 1200 miles , It did say it was a little tuckered out , .... what they did not modify on a Neptune .... still held other records for an active combat aircraft in its class .... Go Neptune B-)
