April Screenshot Comp - 2nd Place

Postby Adamski » Sat May 09, 2015 11:21 pm

My thanks firstly to Greg (Scaber) - winner of April's comp - for generously passing his prize onto the runner up (me). He must have collected the full A2A set, whereas I'm still a couple short!!!

I'm reasonably well stocked for A2A/FSX, but was missing the C-172 in my P3D stable. So ... with thanks to Lewis at A2A, I filled the gap!! I must admit, any release from A2A gets put on my credit card pretty well instantly. They seem to produce the very best ... and consistently.

Here's one of the old FSX Ardmore liveries transmogrified into P3D ... ZK-TAS, taking Heidi for a spin around Rangitoto:

Isn't she wonderful? The aircraft, I mean

Nice one...don't have P3D but agree that from now on I'm getting anything A2A put out (actually they are probably the only aircraft I buy - apart from a few exceptions - moving forward)...cant wait for the next one...T-33, Seminole and T-6 in the works as I understand..they have a sale on at the moment too

Good one, Greg, and well done, Adam, I did love your entry.
I have yet to buy anything A2A, but I will one day -- when I'm earning again. I have been putting together some ideas for a cockpit for the A2A Cessna, doing it on the cheap, which seems quite possible these days.

Without wanting to get into an FSX/P3D slanging match, I think P3D (imperfect as it still is) is the way forward.

So ... if anyone's buying any NEW A2A aircraft, make sure you buy the *combined* FSX+P3D versions to save money.

I wish A2A would drop everything and do a decent DC-3!!! Yes, I know the MJ one is awesome (even better when they finish the VC) ... but a DC-3 with Accusim ... wow!!

FSX Steam Edition is going to stay where it is now, since Dovetail didn't get a license to change anything in the sourcecode, which means that they can do some tweaks, but not a major overhaul. Besides, they only bought the FSX license to gain some experience in the flightsim area, since they are working on their own new flightsim. So if you want anything that stays close to the MS FS series, P3D is the way to go
