Mitsubishi Mu 2B-60 "Marquise", Flysimware

She is not a beauty like some of those Carenado-aircraft... but in my eyes she is good flyable, and the cockpit is not fancy but very functional. And it is something other than another Cessna or Piper.

I think you nailed it , so different with design really looks military , they do have similar type as airframe instruction up in Blenheim .

Yes I have a few Flysimware aircraft and they are very flyable and systems wise they are very good. They just need a little help with texturing which currently makes the models look some what dated.
Flysimware systems and FDE with Carenado visuals would be a real winner.
It will be interesting to see how the Milviz MU2 compares with this.

I think they will be on to a real winner, MILVIZ with this one , I seriously hope they get some real McCoy drivers, they do say it is touchy type , I think its something about the look ... has that purposeful get there do that rather the lazy style.

Love the MU2. Cool machine, and by all accounts very capable.

Wasn't super successful in NZ despite a few attempts, from what I read in a book on Air Central who used to operate them in the central north Island they were a bit expensive to run and maintain (spares would no doubt have been a hassle). I need to get out a bit more in this bird, bought it and had a couple of cracks but didnt really master it.

They were put on the extra expensive list to operate , they are the prettier looking GA/commuter tho .... simply something about the type.

MILVIZ... Nice, but.... This is not the same aircraft!

NOTE! This is a Mu 2 " Solitaire." And the flysimware aircraft is a "Marquise"
The difference between these two aircaft is the fuselage of the Marquise is longer and has a better stability in flight.

Mentioned the type .. the similarity , good to see a lift ... the ole MILVIZ jobbie will still be quiet a few months away , I did a search for paints but could not find anything.

From memory the MU2 was a little pitch sensitive and has spoilers for roll control, which although effective increased drag with an engine out condition. Have to be careful when retracting flap too as they are very effective and add significantly to the wing area. A hot ship.

Real time driver advice, This is were the aircraft gets my attention , as Steve put it ... "A Hot Ship" ... good example read the early history of the Martin B-26 Marauder , two P-47 engines bolted on with little wing is the best way to describe it, the Mitsi MU2 is today's number.

Quite a nice airframe. They have four of them painted up in RNZAF paint scheme down in Woodbourne for the AVTECHS and the Mechanics to train on. Mainly because of the turbine - was also a very cost effective airframe to get over from Japan. I have plenty of pictures, let me know if you want them - I took them so somebody could eventually repaint it in our colours.
