Pretty Bay of Islands

Postby emfrat » Fri Jul 17, 2015 12:53 pm

If I'd had a floatplane, I could have dropped in for a dip B-)
This pic will click out to full screen. I uploaded it to my Postimage acct as a 1990 x 1080 jpg and said Do not resize.
Then I copied the code from Hotlink for Forums (1), deleting the second URL after pasting it to my forum post
In the NZFF preview it shows as 1280w, but is clickable to 1990.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Some pics just need the full screen display - but I understand the cost of bandwidth, too.

I was wondering if you also did the Stewart island scenery and if so could I call you about it?

That shot brings back a lot of memories. I spent over 25 years yachting the Bay of Islands and a spot just above the plane's rudder used to be a great scallop diving area. Somewhere about 1985, I could get my legal limit of 100 scallops in about 10 minutes, then motor a couple of hundred metres into nearby Pipi Bay to clean them and eat them.

I apologise for my lack of posts in recent times. My Win XP crashed last year and I haven't got passed a very rudimentary re-instal. I had felt for some time that developments had left me behind and I am still in two minds whether to start again with what I had, start again with the new programs or put more time into several other interests.

In the meantime, I'll carry on sneaking in here and checking out what I missing out on. Carry on, chaps.
