Mineralnye Vody - Tashkent, Uzbekistan Airways Boeing 757-200

Postby hasegawa » Wed Feb 03, 2016 10:19 pm

I am at the moment at home, slowly recover... and so I have much time to fly longer legs.
One of this was from an original Flight from Uzbekistan Airlines
Mineralnye Vody is a town in southern Russia. Some informations about the town.
This flight is typical for the region, as You can see here. Here You can find something about the Airport (URMM)

In Russia and the country´s of the former USSR you can find meanwhile a lot of aircraft of american origin. The Boeing 757-200 has whipped out the Tupolew Tu 154 and filled it´s flights. Not a bad idea. In Russia the Boeing 757 is very popular, because it is not to big, to fly efficient most of the routes from Moscow to all the regional Centers of Russia ... and it has enough range to fly to Sibiria and with one Stop in Yekaterinburg or Novosibirsk to Magadan, Vladivostok, Petropawlowsk Kamtshatski ...

But now enough text... let us fly.

We leave Russia and overflying the Border to Armenia. Yes, You can see that I only have LNAV in use and not VNAF, because I use the ATC from Microsoft, which is not really compatible...

Overflying the Lake Sevan, Armenia

We overfly Yerevan, capital of Armenia and in the background You can see Mt. Ararat in Turkey
The Ararat, Amenians tell him the "Mountain in captivity." This is in memory of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish in WWI Long ago and for hundreds of years the Armenians lived in the Ottoman Empire. A good girlfriend of mine is Armenian and she told me the history of her family. I can´t forget, what she told me. First under the Ottomans half of her family died in the tragic event and a lot of the rest where killed in the USSR, in the Stalin-Time. She was born in Magadan, far away from Armenia in Exil. Now she resides in Amman, Jordania...
Overflying a bit of Azerbaijan we go into Iranian Airspace. Over the Caspian Sea we came in.

Somewher south of us is Mashhad, a Center of the the Shia islamic World. The city is most famous and revered for housing the tomb of Imam Reza, the eighth Shia Imam. Every year, millions of pilgrims visit the Imam Reza shrine and pay their tributes to Imam Reza.

In the evening we reach Turkmenistan , another now independent part of the USSR...

Uzbekistan ... in the last light of the day we came in to the Airspace of Uzbekistan and arrive in Tashkent

The Airports are from avsim.su, the nature is FTX Global and the aircraft is the Boeing 757-200 made by QW. I like this aircraft. It is a medium-level-aircraft, Not PMDG and not CLS... The weather is generated withg "Opus"

All these flights come from China with a stop in Moscow, carrying chinese tourists to visit main cities here in Europe from Liege EBLG Belgium.

Thank You for the replays. The Qualitywings Boeing 757 is an older thing, but I like It. Flying in Russia and Asia seems to be not so popular as western europe, but i have connections across the former USSR... nobody can forget his roots.
Chinese tourists... we have an "invasion" from them in Riga last year. But they are peacefull people... We have less russian tourists and a lot of them, have given up there Sommer-houses in Yurmala near Riga on the Baltic Sea. They are going to the Krim-Peninsula now and buying Houses... a lot of them.

I am looking for interesting liverys for the Captain Sim Boeing 767...

Cool sequence of shots and great info Andreas, thanks.

I LOVE this livery, a little old school maybe, but cool nonetheless. Thanks for sharing those 767 shots Ian, they've been a fairly regular fixture here for a few years now, quite bizarre really given where they fly from.
