Cheers to Carenado

SO the SSComp prize... I thought I had them all, but no! somehow missed the C210.
No sooner said, than downloaded, thanks to Doug and his well-oiled Sponsor Machine.

A little daub of the local paintbrush: Voila!

Carenado do make a lovely model - just look at the detailing.
And their interiors are stunning, even on the older models.

But let's face it, on this Cessna it's all about the feets:

No really... some guy sat in a pub and sketched on a napkin what could be done with that springy old fixed undercarriage.

Watch on youtube.com

Anyhow... a nice little trip down the Kapiti Coast to Wellie is just perfect for this aircraft.

En route I thought about Carenado and their contribution to flight simming: it is substantial.
Here's a smattering of what they've produced (these are just some locally-registered ones)
Thank you to the management at NZRO for use of their apron this rainy day...

A couple of my personal all-time favourites:

So: Cheers and thanks, Carenado!

Lovely, that's definitely my 'go to' Cessna -- could do with that paint!

I have a long way to go to catch up with your Carenado fleet, but I am working on it.

Thank you, Marty.

Rob, I'd gladly pass along that repaint but I fear it is not in your league of expectation (DXT3 etc)
Happily you can easily roll your own: Just rub out the rego on the "light blue" texture of the stock 210, and insert ZK-ETI!

Closing shots: In the line-up it struck me how massive the Grand Caravan is, bigger than a King Air!

But no time for more group pictures; when the weather improved, the scheduled airliner pressure mounted on the ramp.
I jumped into my lovely Seneca and flew off into the distance :)
