Finally found out how to change positions in these IL2 machines ..... the shots dont do the sim justice at all , the level of detail is amazing .
Anyway , some of the gunners positions (missed the waist one)

Nose.


Belly , on some models.



Upper , with canopy back.

and I even managed to drop a bomb (a big one ) but I dropped it into a lake ... no one was hurt ... just a lot of stunned fish

Scary prospect sitting in those gun positions with a Spitty incoming with eight Browning .303 chatting away with one only pointing back... they are Great Screens

Thanks Ian , yes , your right ... imagine sitting up in the top turret with all that fire power aimed at you , those guys must have had iron testicles . In fact , that would apply to any air gunner.

Strange , in saying that, they do say Eighth Air Force gunners really were ace's in there own right, a whooping great 0.5 had some clout , whole different aircraft tho , but yeah .. drum loaded guns .. yeah "iron testicles" TRUE !
