Back to the future (FS9)

Postby Splitpin » Mon Mar 27, 2017 8:04 pm

 Some of these are very reminiscent of shots posted years ago ... But I have to report, its great back here in 2004.

Need to fine tune a few things, but being back in the "zone" is amazing.

The scenery thing isn't a big deal for me, basically being a "fluffy things" dweller anyway.
Looking back, as I do most of the time now, I'm amazed by, the volume, and quality (for its time ) that was available back then .

Anyway ... these shots are all similar (in cloud) ... but think back and enjoy.

Saw your earlier post too, Marty, but got distracted...
"The Soviets are Invading" thread is worth a little revisit too - as you say, what an astonishing range of airworthiness!

Love your Intruder shot, you sure that was FS9???

Charl ... that looks great ! where and from whom ?

While your there Charl , do you have any idea about my post in tech issues , regarding "bootstrapper" to get my REX FS9 working.
Also working with Ian on a solution , but nothing so far .

France VFR... just boggles: the extent and detail of their work.
Consider the mesh required to correctly model the lake, river below, and the dam wall itself.

Bootstrap as I think Ian indicated, is legacy software from MS.
Just search for it, download and install, then I assume REX will play.

That was an issue Peter Lohr hooked into doing Queenstown and the Lake region, sometime it can be a real juggling act but as shown above in that scene the effort is well worth it ... imagine a more recent photo under-lay'd onto that scenery! .
