As far as I know 2 of the Bombers from Aeronavale (french navy) flow short before the end a night-mission against Berlin. One of the bombers hit the UFA film studio here in Potsdam (this is about 20 minutes per feet away from my german home) and the second... nobody knows. And the next day the french radio announced "A formation of bombers from Aeropnavale hit Berlin" You see, not only Goebbels and his team had produced propaganda...
Last wednesday was another day here in Potsdam that by dredging activities they found another bomb from WWII. For about 4 hours the traffic stopped at the center off Potsdam. It was not easy to go out from the zone. I was at the doctor at this time . After the doc I went to eat something at the restaurant nearby because they needed more time for the defusing of the Bomb...
The railway-station of Potsdam was at april 1945 a main target for allied bombers. Every time they build something in this area they found something like this. I didnt know how many meanwhile since 1975... In Riga we have nearly nothing like this.

The Farman 222 variant began to enter service with Armee de l'Air in the spring of 1937. Unlike its predecessor, this plane featured a retractable undercarriage.
Twenty-four aircraft were produced with redesigned front fuselages and dihedral added to the outer wing.
During World War II these planes were used in leaflet raids over Germany and then night bombing raids during May and June 1940: These resulted in three losses !

Dani , the first time i "flew' this thing, I thought ...my god its so slow. No flaps, and it took forever to climb ...I didn't realize it had retractable gear
