Two for Marty!

Following your "[mainly inverted] jets in blue skies" pics, I thought I'd give you one back:

This is the old Alphasim/Virtavia F-104 (not the Skunkworks or newer versions). It's an old FS9/FSX model, but I just got it for $14 NZ in the sale. At that price, I thought it was worth a punt fror P3Dv4.2.

Amazingly, it works fine!! I tweaked the reflectivity of the odd texture, but the aircraft itself works 100%! Now for Ivan's MiG-21!

Back to the "steam age". Most of my A2A/WOP3 hangar works fine in P3Dv4 - albeit without any Accusim doodads (or, sadly, Heidi!):

 Thanks bra guy ...love the 104.
It is amazing what will just pop into V4 .... might try some more of the old Alpha stuff ...god knows Ive got everything they did before the name change.
Phil and his team were so prolific back in the fs9 heyday.

As regards legacy add-ons, the thing to check is whether there's an "interior" mdl file along with the standard mdl. P3Dv4 needs both - so if the [ancient] add-on you're looking to import hasn't got one, save yourself the bother!

Here are some more "vintage" jet pics (many thanks to Roelio for the "Fishbed" reminder!):

That's my heritage spoken for - now for yours!

I was lucky to see a MiG-21 displayed once in the UK. It was absolutely *awesome*: loud and chillingly evil looking. It made the Western equivalents look like "boys' toys"!
