Certainly more modern than the Gloster Meteor Mk. I and III are by no means such a triumphal procession as it is celebrated in various books today. The remarkable sides were the arrow wings, the heavy armament, the good visibility . . . But the bad sides were unreliable engines, complicated, susceptibility to fire, underpowered and wing-sticking during take-off and landing.

Great pics ... great atmosphere! Whose model is that? I always think the 262 falls a whisker short of being really beautiful: something about the almost triangular "fat" fuselage that puts me off ... but the plan view and profiles are gorgeous.

The pictures are taken from the simulation "Battle of Bodenplatte"; by 1C-Games. This company is known for the "Sturmovik"; simulations". After a long illness I dedicate myself again to my 2. Job and I am currently writing a review for FS-Magazin in Germany. This Me 262, a Focke Wulf Fw 190A-8, Focke Wulf Fw 190D-9, the Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 are the german aircraft in the simulation...
For this article I fly each of these planes and of course the British and American planes for a few hours and thereby "eliminate the war." It is about comparing the characteristics of this machine, its strengths and its weaknesses and peculiarities with what is known about the original aircraft. On the allied side I like the Tempest Mk. V.

Here are all current simulations of 1C-Games. I'm almost out of them. The exception is The Battle of Normandy which is brand new. I also have some of the collector planes, such as the Ju 52 and the Polikarpow Po 2 All in all a good investment that has given me many flying hours in military simulation. I wrote an article about the Battle of the Kuban at the time, while Stalingrad and Moscow were described by colleagues of mine.

Another product of the line has nothing to do with flying. "TANK CREW" Battle of Kursk, namely in the Prokhorovka sector. Its epic. I have driven for much hours there. And you can drive with tanks at any chart from the other simulations like Moscow, Stalingrad... The view from a tank over the landscape and fighting on the ground is so very different....
