FSX to MSFS 2020 - is this legal?

I see there's a "converter" out there that a few "enthusiastic " MSFS 2020 users out there have used to transmogrify old FSX aircraft into [vaguely] working MSFS models.

Here's an example ... of the Flight1 BN2 Islander (which I actually bought). Flight1 would still own copyright of this one, Shirley? There are still active FSX users out there, so I suspect the BN2 could still attract a few sales <?>. Or have Flight1 given their blessing? Note: this is NOT my conversion!
