Did you know that Israeli air force used BG109s (Avia version) as their first air force fighter planes??

Charl is CORRECT about his history fact!!

By the way, BG-109s (Avia version) flown by Israeli air force were also escorting and providing air cover protection for Israeli air force B-17 Flying Fortress bombers during daily day and night bombing raids on Cairo.

They were terrible to fly ... a lot worse than the Daimler Benz version

Yep Both of you are correct!!

It required extremely skillful pilots to handle those Israeli BG-109 planes.

And those Israeli BG-109 planes were instrumental in stopping and routing out the invading Egyptian army. The planes saved Israels southern border.
