Amazing to think the DR-1 first flew in July 1917, only 52 years later (1969) Armstrong and Aldrin were walking on the moon.
The sim is Apollo 11 HD , also VR.

That's quite neat Marty. Would be pretty amazing in VR. I'm currently tinkering with Reentry on Steam which simulates Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. The sim has advanced in leaps and bounds since I started using it and is accessible to most people but complex enough for the hardcore Spaceflight enthusiasts. I love all of this stuff. I'll be in NZ in a couple of weeks to do some flying but I don't know if I'll have time to get to Christchurch. I'll let you know if I do.

Cheers Nick, I've got that re-entry as well and I'm just starting to study it.
Stay in touch if you do make it down this way, stay safe.

My Dad was born in 1913, when aviation was just getting into its stride. When my sister arrived in 1943, the Jet Age was under way and a couple of months after my first appearance, the Comet 1 made its debut. Seven years later my youngest brother, not quite one year old, was watching Sputnik 1 pass overhead as we listened to it on the BBC wireless. The Space Age had begun. Fifteen years later my daughter was born, over two years after the Moon Landing.
All that in less than 70 years :o

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'
