MSFS Socata Trinidad. Buy it. Fly it. It's good.

Presenting the highly under-rated MSFS Socata Trinidad by Lionheart Creations. Seen here crossing the hill from Queenstown then heading off north up the coast to Greymouth.

This plane had quite mixed reviews when it released but it is now onto version 4 and all of the things that people had issues with are now dealt with. Out of the box it's nice, throw in the Moulinsart Trinidad TB-21 GT Plus mod from flightsim.to and the PMS GNS530/GNS430 mod from github (link in the Moulinsart mod description, and yes, the same PMS who do the GTN) and it becomes an absolute GA weapon. 24" and 2300rpm will get you something like 165 kts at 11,000 or 183 kts at 23,000' (ceiling), for ~ 16gph fuel. Fuel is around 85 gallons, giving you about 5 hrs, 900nm. The engine is fussy about the mixture - too much fuel will kill it just as fast as not enough, and the autopilot is fussy about power - if you don't have prop and throttle full forward and mixture leaned you can forget about anything more than 70kts / 10,000', and if you don't pull the power off at the right time it will just keep climbing even if you've told it to descend. The GPS is way more functional than the default (I have the GTN on my toolbar but never even thought about using it), and you have to remember to swap fuel tanks.

I've been playing with flight sims since the days of Sublogic and I've never found such an awesome GA beast. This, boys and girls, right here, this is your round the world cruiser.

Great shots

Am I correct that you took off from Queenstown airport?

I feel the same way. Have the Piper's from Just Flight in the hangar, but these were already available for the P3D and there it proved to be useful and nice.
