OH .... there's nothing "sad" about the 737 classics .... painted or naked as a Jay-Bird :)

Just ask/"get on the piss" with any pilot who's flown/accumulated significant hours on the TYPE and listen "intently" to what they have to share :)

I've never met a professional pilot whom has anything negative to communicate in regard to the classic B737's.

Even I .... a humble PAX (and regular jump seat rider .... during the pre-9/11 days when I could do that) ... are beginning to miss "the B737 CLASSIC's".

So .here's my pictorial tribute .... to the B732 at least ....

56 years ago .... today (April 9th US-time .... first flight). "QUITE" the test of any airliner design to remain in production still/all this time .... having evolved from the B727-100 to the 200 .... and on to the -300/-400/500/-600/-700/-800 SERIES .... and then to the more recent MAX SERIES as well .... and in doing so fulfilling a multitude of both civil and military roles.

Well hell, if this is the classic 737 tribute then I better put some of the more interesting ones I've seen in the wild. Unfortunately I only ever flew on one twice from Christchurch to Auckland and back in 1996. Indonesia still has a few going so it's nice to see them most days.

I had many hours of fun flying the Tinmouse 737 in FS2004. It was most enjoyable to fly. I only spent around 6 months in the real thing as an FO. A pocket rocket.
