The A4 Skyhawk was my favorite jet when I was a kid. I was fascinated with the leading edge slat that just flops out, very strange. But it worked.

Aharon you're welcome, it's not a great shot, done very quickly but I'm glad you like it.
Grumman4444, thanks for looking. The scooter is still on my favorites list.
Re the leading edge slat, they are interesting. I worked at the Air Force museum for a while long ago, part of my morning rounds was dusting the aircraft.
I studied those slats on the A-4s we had, there appeared to be no mechanical connection to the wing(as in power) simply aerodynamics.
