Strikemaster

This was a seasonal prize at War Thunder...you have to complete a whole bunch of tasks to get it, but as it is at Gaijin games.... everything is available for a price....and I paid.

Not many paints for it at the moment, but here are a few, not sure why they didn't add serial numbers to the default paint.

Trying to look like a Dragonfly.

I think the pilots are a bit small... and those bloody awful old helmets.
More later....dinner time.

Great looking model! I think the pilots look OK. The Strikemaster has a big canopy and the pilots do sit forward and low. Have a look at some photos of the real thing and you will see its a pretty close.

Those are all great shots. My favorites are the JASDF and RAAF ones, but I have to say that the RNZAF one is the best...just showing my bias to anything operated by the Air Force. :)

The RSAF one looks really nice. I believe that the Saudi and Kenyan air forces used them as well.
I've got a very interesting book titled From Jet Provost to Strikemaster...really good read.
Is your RAF one from the Central Flying School or one of the aerobatic teams the RAF used.. the only team I can recall is The Pelicans.

Pelicans are inbound mate.... I'm waiting for some paints from the Middle East....I think Jordan or Oman had them.
Just spotted one from Botswana. They must have been the 70's version of the A-10.. a bush fighter, not too worried about tanks.

I do have a soft spot for the old "Blunty". A great RC scale model subject.

It was Oman who used The Blunty in the Middle East, not sure about Jordan.
I'll check in the Blunty Bible.
