Can't say that I've seen SNEB packs that long either.

I had to Google "SNEB".

Given what they did to that fine Gallic nose, a giant SNEB is not really much of a step.
Also: Instead of undercarriage, it has large balls in the wheel wells.

Thanks for looking. Did some research into those huge rocket pods.
Its known as the Matra JL-100, basically a type 23 SNEB launcher mounted to a 250 litre fuel tank ...hence the size.

Maybe a little artistic licence by the sim, they were not really that big.

You may be right Charl...the sim version has fins on the rear of the tank...that would indicate the RP62 1300 litre tank, and I cant find any evidence so far that, that(adding the rockets) was indeed done.
Not like War Thunder to get such a big detail wrong ....investigation continues.
