Great post JK..I didn't know the RAAF used B-24's.
Any history behind the paint ?

yes, the RAAF flew a total of 287 Liberators, equipping about 10 squadrons, which flew missions from bases in Queensland, the NT and WA (from Corunna Downs airfield, seen in the pics) over Indonesia and the Philiippines. They trained with 7 OTU from Tocumwal, NSW, which at the time was the largest RAAF airfield.
33 aircraft were lost in combat, but one actually survives, A72-176, which is currently being restored (see here for more info on that: https://www.b24australia.org.au/).
The aircraft in my pictures flew with No.24 squadron from the NT and WA, and it was named 'Northern Terrier'. Here a pic of the original:

unfortunately, the model is not available, it's a private conversion of the old Flight Replicas model, let's hope Mike decides to bring it to MFS, as it looks very good I think
