Subject: Clarification on the Jankees repaint — Inibuilds P-40F Warhawk for MSFS, not Flight Replicas P-40N

I’d like to clarify some details regarding the repaint by Jankees, which is often mistakenly associated with the Flight Replicas P-40N model in MSFS.
In reality, this repaint is designed for the Inibuilds P-40F Warhawk (see: Inibuilds P-40F).
Key identification points:
The Inibuilds P-40F is powered by the Packard-built Rolls-Royce Merlin V-1650-1 engine.
It features the classic large chin air intake under the engine cowling (present in all P-40 variants).
Unlike Allison-powered models (e.g., P-40N), the P-40F does not have the smaller secondary air intake above the engine cowling.
Historical context of the repaint:
The repaint shows the olive drab over neutral gray scheme typical of USAAF fighters in the Pacific during spring-summer 1943.
It includes the white tail and diagonal white stripes on the wings, used by the USAAF for friend-or-foe recognition during that period.
These markings were unique to the USAAF; the Navy and Marine Corps used different schemes such as the tri-color camouflage.
Additional notes on paint schemes:
Olive drab was the factory standard early in the war but was sometimes replaced with medium green later on.
From approximately September 1944, camouflage paint was largely phased out to simplify production.
