NZPP slow progress...

Postby toprob » Fri Dec 26, 2025 5:05 pm

With the weather not cooperating for astro photography, I've been back to building NZPP for MSFS2024. I've used this building as a Blender learning experience, so most things take a lot longer than the old 3DS Max days. However I've got into the habit of asking AI for equivalent tools which I've used before, and it normally points me in the right direction, albeit with a huge dose of cheerfulness.

I've had a lot of help from Andy, (Buzzard67), who's supplied plenty of photos. Access to NZPP has been tricky for me, which I won't go into here, I think I've mentioned this before, though. I'm still not sure how any future release will be accepted by the airport management, but since there's already another NZPP on flightsim.to I'm steaming ahead. Well, maybe not 'steaming', more like shuffling....

At this point many FS addons are still being released for both MSFS 2020 and '24.
Does your work allow this, or is it strictly for '24?

I quit 2020 a while ago, so I haven't planned for this. I started NZPP in 2020 though, so I might be able to go back to that one for 2020-specific stuff and recompile the models. It depends on what I lose in the process.
