The NZFF September 2016 Screenshot Competition is Now Closed

Postby dbcunnz » Thu Sep 01, 2016 12:00 am

Welcome to the NZFF September 2016 Screenshot Competition.

Can I ask all participants to please use a host other than PhotoBucket as it keeps giving problems when trying to save images for voting thumbnails.
I suggest you either use http://www.fsfiles.org or https://postimage.org/ as I find these two are much user friendly.

This month's rules are as follows (Please read them).
If you have any queries about the rules please PM me for clarification before posting your entry.

1) The screenshot image must consist of a screen captured from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, P3D or X-Plane)

2) Some editing is allowed (if you know how to do it.) Additional images - either screenshots or "real" images can be added - but the main component of the image should always be of a Flight sim screen capture.

3)The images must be jpg and size can be anywhere between a minimum of 1024 pixels wide up to a maximum of 1280 pixels wide.
3a)[u]No frames or txt to be left on the image.
Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

4) Images can be submitted from September 1st until midnight 30th September 2016, with only one entry of a single image per member.
You can change your image anytime up until 1 hour before the closing time.
To change use the edit button at the bottom of your post, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one
If you post comments using the quote or reply button please edit out all images from your reply or quote.

5) Soon after the competition ends, a poll will open for members to vote for the best image, the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the prize for the month.

6) This month's theme: “Hydro Dams” (Please state Aircraft details and the name and country of the Hydro Dam in your image.)

I ask all members to please patronize all our very generous prize sponsors.
We have an excellent prize for this month’s competition very generously donated by
Image

The voting will take place after the competition closes at the end of the month and the winner with the highest vote will get the prize.

For the September competition prize winner will receive the download of their choice from CARENDO

Thank you this month’s prize sponsor CARENDO.

MOST cannot think or give a Damn to post a screen ... Me when I firsts viewed the 'Theme' straight off I thought of Greg B, So I thought outside the gap again .. I do have screen , and idea and a history lesson, .. this month theme is so outter the Blue its 'Brilliant' ... NZ is a Hydro powered PC up and running because 'DAM' you I need power .... ... simply who the hell thought off this ... WICKED ! :)

I was thinking of Greg 'B' Baunton , his wicked drawing with his Lancaster Artwork .. I am seriously looking forward to see the result this month, dose not have to be the famed WWII mission were a 'KIWI' was involved ... but there are many themes that can pop outta this, ... so wide a theme .. YEAH I went directly to the War Machine in me , so lets see what real or I if any NZ Simmers give a Dam about this month ..

.. anyone going to give a 'CAREAADO' .. wicked choices for all .. I would like to look a the XP800 .. myself truly again the prize Has to go to someone with Balls and tenacity t really strike hard and strike fast ... a real mission meister with attitude ! B-)

The last couple of themes have produced some good 'outside-the-square' ideas, and that is a Good Thing :D
MikeW
'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

That's because you would've remembered this showstopper
So let's get it out of the way, otherwise there will never be a screen submitted for this theme...

It's a trial run over Clyde dam with one of Sir Peter's idle fleet.

Damned if I know!!

I do like hydro dams though and had visions of those early airliner poster with the airplane flying over interesting sights or fishermen flying into smaller dammed lakes for a spot of recreational fishing - and of course there's always The Dam Busters!!!! (Dramatic Epic type music plays) - it would be good to see a whole heap of interpretations on the Dam Busters theme.

And if you follow the Dam Busters theme as far as I'm concerned it doesn't have to be a WW2 plane - anything goes, anywhere in the world!
