Just some pics of the default FEX clouds from flight 1 no high res set yet here thats about at 700mb left outta 967mb from those update files ,i set the bush fire textures to give alittle smog look to the world ,looks very cool but the clouds are just amazing to me ,

no impact on flps that i could notice but these are at the very low detail sets so this is just going to get better 4 me i suppose

thanks guys for voting me last month screenshot comp and cheers Flight1 for a really great addon for FSX ,it really has made a world of difference already even though i still havent yet tapped into its good bits thumbup1.gif

Yeah it really does add alot to the feel of things always has i think "clouds that is "this addon has just added more feel to them with smooth trans through , so much so you just float your way through them like you do in the real world , there is the high res versions in a update that have been previewed here on NZFF already that i just cant wait for but being such a big download this is painfully slow mite have to go reset the router and see if that gets faster ..
you wait till you see some of the water sets ,wow i set in the orbx set and man they look a really great greeny mud look that i think suits inner harbours on a ruff windy weather day ..

there is another set there called bush fire or something ,i like haze for my sim not only to help with frames but just seems right to have a little smog /foggy look to my sim world that this does well
to be honest ive only spent about ten min flying around on one set of settings and i know there is just so much more to it so im pretty blown away already with the low settings and default FEX settings straight outta the 700mb download ,from my understanding the update is just a extra 900mb part to it ,pretty cool really cool.gif

Great shots mate, those clouds really do look excellent thumbup1.gif
They're very realistic looking and to not have much of a FPS hit is amazing.

just a quick question, does this work with real world weather? or the likes of Active sky X i have active sky x and it does a great job of the weather, but these clouds look awesome, so i think combining the two would be great, thanks

Well it does use the default weather engine so i cant see why not ActiveX only thing it would do is overwrite some texture but running AX would reinstall its texture set if you wanted them back etc because they are just loading them in each time you choose a texture set from another location ,well thats what i understand from it all ,often i use bits from here and there mix and match and ive never had any big probs a simple reinstall wont fix ..
im just installing the update and it does have a button something with weather on it that says it needs the update to work ..tell you what i find out soon

Yep, it would work. Just changes your cloud/sun/water textures, you're still able to use the likes of ActiveSky to tell the sim which textures to use. winkyy.gif

Well i did as Ian asked and ive come up with new shots from china and seeing i had no scenery there i also went to Kai tak with different weather conditions
first lot are china ,there are real heavy shots and ones with a long distants setting on the looks like smog" the haze "

Kai tak

also a bonus i found out that you can make your own cloud haze and weather themes including water themes /you can use your own colours and just do about everything to make a real cool set ,,then i suppose you can share them as themes for this product ..very cool

And here is some from the NZCX scenery addon with the clouds and real world weather updates ,and should i just say all of these shots in this are non edited just cropped to size ..

these are the bigger texture size sets at dx5 high res but still no deep impact on flps that i can see
