I think I've figured out the main problem with my 'aft' airbridge, as you can see in the previous screenshot it just extends too far, allowing us old folks to fall out of the non-glassed bits.... To get it to extend without opening up to the wind and rain I need to shift the aircraft quite a distance to the left, actually off the concrete. So I figure that they've done that in reality, extended the concrete pad, and shifted everything closer to the airbridges. I am trying to get hold of someone at the airport to see if they have a current layout, otherwise I'll just be making stuff up....

I was hoping to have the airbridges all done and dusted by the end of the month, which means a lot of work tomorrow. Still, it'll be worth it, I hope.

Do you mean the ‘box’ ends extend past the others? SODE shouldn’t allow that when calculating the range to extend on export.

Jetways can be hard to replicate though, just going off the aerial imagery doesn’t always seem to work out. When I was making one I remeasured so many times and couldn’t get the thing to dock. In the end I just made it a bit longer and it worked.

I think getting the parking line and stop bars accurate are the most important. Then just make the rest fit, no one will be getting out their tape measure in sim :)

Edit: oh I read again, off the pad...hmm that’s quite a big difference.... no you’re on your own there :P

The AIP lists rough coordinates for each stand, I don’t know where it’s measured from but I have never got them to match in sim or in google earth (if I remember correctly). So don’t rely on that.

Ok, I asked the airport folk about gate 30, but haven't heard back. HOWEVER... the latest Google Earth image which has just shown up today shows an extended concrete pad, so I'm happy to move the parking spot a bit now so it reaches. I have no idea how they drive in, as the old markings still show up, but I'll figure something.

I'm quite happy with the dual gates, it worked out well in the end.
