Come on, you lot, not only is this a major aviation location in NZ, but this is the official language of New Zealand -- it's 'Whenuapai'.
I still feel guilty whenever I hear the in-sim voice mangling Whenuapai -- I had this noted on the FSX beta, but forgot to report it.

Yeah, but I'm not asking outsiders to pronounce it, I'm asking New Zealanders to spell it.
Come to think of it, FSX spells it as Whenpuapai, and the pronunciation is worse. They have an excuse. Maori is a lot easier than English to spell, as it is phonetic -- there's only one way, normally, whereas with English, there could be a a dozen ways to spell the same thing.

My Shot was taken in the Torrejón Air base near Madrid (Spain). Torrejón is the Home of the 12th Fighter Wing (Ala 12) equipped with EF-18M (spanish version of the F/A-18A modernized). Also is the home of the best guys of the Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire), the people of the 43 Group (Grupo 43). They fly a mix fleet of Canadair CL-215T and 415 in the hard battle versus wildfires. In youtube they have some videos like this.

Testing the Tupolev Tu-144D.
