Now your really winding me up rolleyes.gif ... actally be good to compare the AH model to the A2A , Marcus the first Corsair to fly in New Zealand was a original 'Birdcage' type back in 1994/5 making its debut at the 1995 VE day airshow here in Christchurch at Wigram .

Visually, there's not much between them Ian... In saying that though the AH series covers the whole family from the Birdcage to the FG-1 Hotrods thumbup1.gif

Systems-wise the A2A model is a clear winner, and the flight dynamics feel a bit more "real" than the AH bird - Maybe it has something to do with the A2A model being a (relatively, compared to their other products) cheap simple model but I've yet to find any model of a Corsair that portrays the feel of a large, single engined fighter (Those with the A2A/WoP3 P-47 will know the kind of feeling I mean) meaning that they feel a bit over-powered and too responsive ninja.gif

(Those with the A2A/WoP3 P-47 will know the kind of feeling I mean) ooooooh Boy .. bitta Accusim with ,really makes it interesting cool.gif

Nah, even the bare model without the Accusim package... Feels heavy, takes a bit of effort to mix it up with a 190 or a Zero - Quite an achievement considering we're nice and cosy in front of the PC using a plastic stick to throw the control surfaces around.

Accusim just keeps your brain working and makes those long escort flights less boring thumbup1.gif

Good little book by 'Jerry Scutts' P-47 in its place but 'Roger Freemans' Mighty Eight really put the Thunderbolt in its place .

Nice flying - and good screenshot. You'll make us ag sim pilots envious with those sorts of low flying antics !!

Deane, I love your Fletcher (got pointed to it by Jan Visser over at SOH) and have spent several precious top-dressing moments with it and Charl's respective scenery too.
No need to get envy at all! winkyy.gif

I think driving your Fletcher fully loaded requires some more skills than tossing around the AH Corsair above Tauranga Harbour...
Actually, the AH Corsair seems a little too 'easy to fly' to me, especially the roll stability appears way too high in my eyes. Maybe I should try to merge the more tempting flight dynamics of the Alpha Bleu Ciel F4U-7 with it.

Cheers,
Markus.

Great one!
Found it at ebook30.com:

Concerning the Birdcage Corsair:
Got any source for pics of this 1994/1995 variant or its tailnumber?

Argh.
Thanks, Ian!
Actually, I know this site (took some useful detail information from it, especially concerning the position of the wingwalk area), but didn't notice yet that the first featured, red-nosed Corsair ZK-FUI was a birdcage.
Its colour scheme seems accustomed to me...

Cheers,
Markus.
