This will open up a whole new way of flying, getting back to some old-fashioned cross-country treks (I'll just dig the old Goshawk out of the barn...), following roads and rivers, because the detail and view down low is just another dimension.
Considering I'm used to the photoreal Queenstown, your shot of the approach shows that photoreal isn't the only answer to reality any more.

It really is something to explore , without being out off reason , following well known areas i no , its so generous in detail in covering the plantation details and mapping , i'm only covering the Mid South Island currently pulling books and photo's i have here , i did sneak into the Alpine region ...this is a Wellcome to New Zealand !

Just to ask.......is the new VLC hard on frame rates, as I noticed that your fps seem a bit on the low side, or is your computer generally having problems with FSX?
Smooth landings.

With my FPS locked, there is no difference. So as a completely unscientific experiment, replayed a 2 minute flight comparing default and VLC with framerates unlocked:

So in this particular flight, on my system, with my current settings, there is a hit for VLC, but considering the whole bunch of extra detail we get, I'd say this is a great result. and by locking framerates (which I always recommend) VLC is not a relevant factor.

It certainly looks a WHOLE lot more like NZ than the default stuff. Great work mate. Any idea of an updated ETA?

Yeah my computer kinda chugs along at the same speed regardless of what I throw at it

My sliders are pretty much maxed there I think so it doesn't do too badly - Remembering that FSX is so much better at allowing immersion with modest frame rates.....you (I) simply don't need 50 FPS to have a good experience.
