Downloaded the free demo from Orbx (all 435mb of it!) to try out the Pacific North West area. Looks like Orbx have raised the standards again, and although I had no intention of buying this area, I might just have to now. Great to fly around the valleys, landclass and textures are superb. See what you think, and perhaps give the free demo a go.

Smooth landings.

I'm surprised by the performance I get with this demo, after my initial go with the Tasmanian demo, which was pretty heavy going on my old system, I've now tweaked away until I can run PNW as reasonable settings to really enjoy it.

And it really is enjoyable, but not somewhere I've ever fly.

Forgot to say that the demo is for the Spring season only. The good news is that it seems to be very frame-rate friendly, so obviously they have done a lot of work underneath. I guess that if you can run FSX with acceptable frame rates, then you will find this demo very easy to run.

smooth landings.
