Hey guys- I got a bit carried away checking some tweaks tonight so did some actual flying around the southern Waikato. I wanted to see if I could find a large rock outcrop I remember seeing when down that way a couple of years ago......I ended up finding it and decided to head to Rotorua to land, got bored and instead landed on one of the many agricultural strips that are in VLC. The weather in the sim was quite atrocious but made for some nice shots- Hope you enjoy them

Exactly Tim , all i have been doing , each hour so before work is fly , really to look and compare with photos from previous flights from all over the country , to compare in weathers ,, the VLC dose define areas i no very and some i don,t , just fortunate have a large collection of books , one photos of the NZ , covers the country , you can get from any Whitcoulles Book shop , a good source to study and check , another is NZ from space , its just the time to find and compare , one problem found during weekend , phoned Rob directly since at work in the funny hours , was told you no about it , the lake in Queenstown .

They are great looking Screens , i did say to Robin this scenery blows FSX default 10 fold ! ... mentioned still works required and tweaking .. i'm still looking comparing .

I'm wondering if the 3rd to last shot is the same river valley as this photo I snapped on the way from Taupo to Tokoroa recently:

Yep, it certainly is (but facing the opposite direction)

edit- Just grabbed this shot as a comparison

this kind of recognition is the 'acid test' so to speak!
