Inspired by Ian's book 'review', and with a brand-new beta of VLC to test-run.

I'll post some more shots tomorrow, but here's a preview.

Sometimes I think this VLC 'beta' is just a ruse to buy time to tease us with screen shots to drive enthusiasm to spur sales upon release.

I read the NZ thread over at the Orbx forum, and there's a lot of mention of the West Coast, Milford etc. I think they'd spew if they knew it was already done:)
The last shot is my favourite, because it demonstrates a brand-new technique for simulating blue-light scattering, which changes the colour of distant vegetation.

Pretty much yes. It's a service I'm providing, helping people make up their mind now, so that they can be ready to buy it on release:) I know that it can sometimes take a guy a few weeks, or even longer, to get the credit card off the missus, so this can be considered fair notice!

haha, just remember though that the shots showing any errors aren't getting shown around here They go onto my bug list for rectification....so while it may look ready for release, there are still lots of odds and ends to tidy up.

Consider it snaffled! See, now (upon your suggestion) I have got the card and now time is ticking before the wife starts looking for it. So really, it is now you responsibility to get the game to me before my wife finds the card missing and in my possession.

He's not kidding. Which reminds me, I promised a shot of Milford airport, but first I need to get it tweaked a bit...
