After looking at Gavins shots in the photo section, i decided to to post these.(i was going to dump them)
You dont seem to need the whole aircraft in the pic, to make it a good shot (not saying mine are good).... , when i did these ....the zoom wouldn't work...meaning i couldn't pull back, for what ever reason, and only part of the a/c was in the frame.

Marty again cool.gif Its funny how these aircraft were so relied on in the 49s almost to see them outclassed by today as toys in the 50s with replacement of Jets

Amazing how things took a real quantum leap about then a? I remember being absolutely GOBSMACKED when I read that the Aussies sent P51s to the Korean war, when all I'd heard about the air war over Korea to that point was Mig15 vs F86!! Poor ol' P51s wouldn't have stood a chance!

And yet, less than 10 years earlier...

Remember that those stalions of the skys marked the peak of piston engine technology. Its only fancy names and electronics that have changed scince.
