These are real treasure.....all Alphasim....all made for FS2002 at the start, and still going, and not looking to bad........

The Jag is another fave .. there was this TV series in the late 80s called 'Test Pilot ' , it showed some brilliant view,s this type , course the Valiant on the other hand .. I'm going be looking forward to next releases of the latter .

Nice pics Split. Amazing to think those three V-bombers all came out so close together, cold war and all that I guess. Not so keen on the Valiant but the Vulcan and Victor rock.. look very purposeful

More amazing stuff out of your "nostalgia box"! I love that Victor!

I'm intrigued by these threads. Are you running FS9 in parallel to FSX? More to the point - are you going to try importing all these oldies but goldies into FSX? I'm hoping you are, so I can save myself a whole heap of work laugh.gif winkyy.gif

Adam, i am running both sims, but seem to be spending more time back in FS9 after unearthing all my old stuff. Im not really sure how to do the "importing" from sim to sim....i just throw them in....and sometimes they work rolleyes.gif But it would be nice to have the Victor and Valiant in fsx.....classic stuff.

Many don,t realise how good the Victor was , it lasted longer in the RAF to the Vulcan,s 21000LB with the Victor carrying 35000LB , i think it may have been the Vulcan,s amazing manuvourablity for its plan form , it chance to get away from the fighters , they put Shrikes on the Vulcan during the 1982 Black Buck operations , imagine had they armed them with Sparrow or Sidewinder early in 60s , Phantoms were having a hell off a job getting during Red Flag meetings in Nevada 83/84 .

Thanks Split.. I agree the Victor was one sexy beast.... The Vulcan was damn amazing too.. the Valiant is very underrated But the V bombers were all fantastic machines..

Thought to the crash off one Concorde ended its life with only so few built and used were as against many others , A320s for example and without explanation . Mind the fact the fuel bill being a factor .

It is a shame that one fatal accident ended concordes life, especially when you compare the airbus's boeings etc that have crashed, but then also as pointed out so few were built compared with the boeings, airbus's etc...
One of the other factors apart from the fuel bills for those might Olympus engines was the range was actually reduced very slightly due to the increase in weight of the modifications added after the air france disaster. I think the range decreased 100 miles but in an airliner that was already range sensitive...

Great set as always, but I'm very intrigued by shot #2. I've never seen missiles set up in that kind of configuration before.

Was that actually done? And have any other planes used top of the wing pylons?

1991 Gulf war first showed its use here , Jag s with wing tags , but even earlier is the putting off long range fuel tanks on the EE Lightning .
