Some screenies of my first cross county flight of reasonable length in my newly acquired Orbx PNW scenery ..also using Orbx Concrete and OZx Clam Harbour Airfield (adds tons of detailed freeware strips to PNW)















Hmm wrong approach ...spent ages trying to find airfield..pretty hard to spot..eventually found it....



..and then this...maybe I should stick to trigears!

You have FSX looking awesome there mate, well done.

One thing I don't see in FSX but do get in FS9 is what I would call "sharp" mountain edges. In FSX most screenshots I see have rounded mountain tops but I like the crisper ones I get in FS9. The mountain ridge in the left side of the third shot is nice - and illustrates what I am talking about (I hope).

Ole Chevy truck in the back ground could help to you back the right way up , lets hope the props not damaged

I,m pleased you took these screens , i was interested to look at the land class not for any real reason

..a few more pics around Concrete in the PNW...autogen cranked up a bit more as Defragging has produced some extra smoothness

I love that 185, it is such a grunter. Have you updated the air file to the custom one that had real pilot input? its much better. The new airfile has the tail up of the ground in no time under full power. The default one seems to glue the tail wheel to the ground and you seem to have to wrestle the plane into the air which is not how it should be considering the amount of power the engine develops.

Looking great Naki...as Mat said, you have it looking real good.......just remember to pull back a little harder when your in the flare ... I love that little birddog as well

Ahh thanks for the reminder..had the update in last FSX install...just reinstalled it and suddenly I find myself flying the 185 again after many hours in the Bird Dog

umm...I actually flared too hard ...and that was actually the second bounce!

Couldn't wait for winter to see what the PNW looked like under all that snow..

Huy There, cool pics out of Concrete muni. Reminds me of a real vid I saw just recent of a Bonanza that nearly did'nt make it out of there in one piece. Cant wait to recreate it when I load in PNW.

Pushing the limit I received a few doco,s from Don Harris , trying to bring a B-29 out off the waste lands off the Arctic , these guys are re-equipping with an old DHC-7 was the 'oh wowl ' are ya aloud to do that .

Thanks for the link!...Ive seen that over at the Orbx forums and the actual pilot chimed in (he was actually checking Concrete out after using the Orbx scenery) - very interesting and very lucky that they didnt end up in the trees.

Had to try out the Carenado Bonanza myself at Concrete but of course couldn't replicate the down draughts that they struck.
