Popped into Taumarunui Airstrip (NZTM) for fuel, in my pretty little Cessna 150 Aerobat, en-route to Taupo (NZAP)....>>>>

Greeted by lots of folks, and nice Cup of Tetley Tea, and a Cheese and Pickle Sandwich in the FBO, whilst waiting for my tanks to be topped up... smile.gif ...!

FS 2004 + my LAGO FSE Scenery Design Program...Joy!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and always surrounded by a crowd!.... cool.gif ....!

Nice shots Fozzer thumbup1.gif rest assured ,you can fly your foreign registered aircraft through our airspace with no problems. The skyhawks are all covered in latex and the strikemasters....well....they went missing tongue.gif

Enjoy your tour

Not missing, just in stealth mode (try looking behind you LOL)

An ideal plane for flying that sort of hop smile.gif

I was thinking about Marty's stealth Blunty - perhaps it's the same type of aircraft that Wonder Woman used to fly... tongue.gif

Ta, Marty...Thanks for the welcome!.... thumbup1.gif ....!

I find my little Cessna 150 is ideal for exploring the highways and byways, and little Airstrips of New Zealand, (especially North Island), at low level.....

And its registration details carry the initials of my name G-BPLF; (Paul L. Fosbery), and identifies my Country of origin...(Great Britain)....

...so there you go...no place to hide...unlike the elusive Strikemaster!... blink.gif ... laugh.gif ....!

New Zealand is similar to England in size, so I feel quite at-home, here... biggrin.gif ...!

Its just the "unfamiliar" names that I have got to get used to!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav.... cool.gif

Your welcome Paul... thumbup1.gif ..fly safe and remember, that strikemaster could be right behind you. unsure.gif for a few seconds anyway... I forgot your in a 150.

Cheers

Marty

Love the addon scenery- I stopped in at Tauramanui the other day for fuel too, no big buildings or concrete pads like that there in real life! There was even a dog on the runway!

Beautiful little place though, really great approach through the mountains from the North.

Ta for the Photo, Trolly... thumbup1.gif ...!

They are useful to give me some idea how to (more accurately) populate the various small, uncontrolled, NZ North Island Airstrips with my Scenery design programs... winkyy.gif ....!

Google Maps give me some idea, but they are only top-down, and probably not covered by Google Street Map for ground level viewing!

Its nice to add a bit of "busy activity" into the MS Default Scenery....always makes for a pleasant landing!.... biggrin.gif ....!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav.... cool.gif ....!

Small, uncontrolled, NZ North Island Airstrips are my second home- name anywhere you need imagery for and I'm sure I'll have photos!

Andrew , as you 'TikiTour' these fields maybe you should photo the building and general site .. from there many new designers could work with them and build a photo real or close to real airports smile.gif
