Here are 2 shots of the HamiltonX control tower ,which is very cool when you click to tower view ..

detail is something everyone wants ,its really where you put it that matters as you cant cover everything in fsx without impacting on flps ..
enjoy ill have more to come soon .

Yes Ian W said, you better put in the sandwich and chicken drum stick , i thought id do the sandwich and coke at least tongue.gif , clouds are FEX from flight1, real time weather this morning in Hamilton is pretty much what it looks like today up here.
im really getting close now to release after having a month delay of computer malfunctions which still plague me now but are pushing on through that and hoping for the best ..

as i get even closer you will see more screenshots and maybe a video if i have time .. thumbup1.gif

You're quite correct there Sir...... cold and uneaten because you're too freaking busy dealing with all those bug smashers!! Bad memories..... so many bad memories...... tongue.gif Looking good Mike..... I've got some notes to send to you if you're back tweaking HamiltonX.......

Yep, nice one Mike. Great idea to have the tower view actual LOOK like a tower view. How much is coke paying you in sponsorship? tongue.gif Hey, now there's an idea. Apple, HP, Dell & co pay the movie studio to have their computer hardware prominently displayed in a movie, why not something similar for flight sim? Could be a great way to encourage excellent stuff like yours, and I'm sure you wouldn't mind the extra dosh... idea.gif

Fantastic, as a Hamilvegasian I cant wait for this thumbup1.gif
Cant say I've EVER seen an actual inside the tower view like this in any scenery before, were there special hoops you had to jump through?

Yes matt im into more data when you can thumbup1.gif ,and no to jumping through hoops deeknow ,this was simply a idea of mine ,its just like any other made scenery object with one of the tower views within fsx set to height and position..
With fsx getting more detailed and being able to accept alot more poly hungry models we are now able to put in the things we havent really thought of before or just didnt do , this airport looks like any other with a little twist, 3d internal terminal and tower which adds a lot of depth on the whole ,if anyone is like me i switch to tower view alot as i buzz past or taking off so its fitting to have something else to look at .

Peter,i have thought about the advertising thing before, selling a little space etc , ive advertised just about everything business in the this scenery ,waikato beer /coke /airlines/ logos on bill boards , i just find people laugh at you when you say flight sim or fob you off ,they really just dont get it or play dumb with you .

Yes, I've seen a few people try this, but this is the first time I've seen one which works this well, both inside and out. The same goes for interiors in general -- Mike's terminal interior is the same, generally I find that interiors look unnatural in the sim, but Mike gets it spot-on.

Exactly Ian thats what i thought winkyy.gif ,plus the amount of polys it would be in one drum stick would be kinda silly.

I kinda figured some mite be trying to look through the windows to see what they can see in the background ,ill make that job a little easier for you and take this topic a little off topic with these screenshots ..
As Robin mentioned the terminal is just as cool for screenshots which ill set up as another tower view to make it easy.

Im more a city or internal modeller so making a full size airport is sometimes a mission ,i have never had much interests in traffic or airport procedures ,i just flyin land/ take off do a loop de loops ,so learning just a little of what you guys expect is a mission in itself ,
as you can see the main apron and terminal is looking fine ..

Its really hard to know when to stop adding to it .

below some mite say what the hells that or some mite just know ,i Call it the bird Bang_A ,when im out there taking photos this is one noise you always hear " BOOM"

the city is pretty much the same as when i started this though ive put in bridges and some more iconic buildings

the rain in the distance looks cool in this shot ..

enjoy ..

Yep, looking just the go Mike. Nice to have Hamilton actually looking like Hamilton. I don't spend much time at the airport terminals myself, as flying over scenery is the name of the game for me. Still, it is very nice to have something detailed to park up next to or take off from / land to. I'm really looking forward to the release so I can putter about & check out all your hard work! thumbup1.gif plane.gif
