Anybody fly these anymore?......i remember when these were pretty much all i had....now we are spoilt for choice.

Sad to say (apart from the Dak) that I haven't taken these out for a long time. Could be something to do with me not having FS9 I suppose.

I'm always amazed when I see "The Spirit of St. Louis" how Lindbergh could have even taken off - let alone do his epic trip in that "thing". I think U-boats had better visiblilty!

BTW - his autobiography account of the trans-Atlantic flight makes *gripping* reading. Hadn't slept for three days prior take off - and only packed two sandwiches **which he didn't even eat**. Incredible man, incredible achievement (of navigaton if nothing else).

Could've sworn I saw a bit of "green stuff" appearing in the lower part of some of those pics. Did you Photoshop that in afterwards ... Oooops! ... nuclear device incoming to the Birkenhead area. No need for any stinking GPS co-ordinates for one of those

Thanks team....the comet and the trimotor i really like.(to fly) the rest are....well....default...but nice.

Adam....that green stuff seems to creeping into a few of my shots latley....I'll have to keep an eye on it ....GOD, next thing you know I'll have scenery in my shots

Nice shots. Actually, thought I need to whisper in case Ian's listening, my default aircraft is the cub - slow and low is the way to go!

I agree that the Cub is a very nice aircraft to fly but as usual Microsoft stuffed the default one up by making it a back seat pilot only when all others and real life cubs are flown from the front seat.

Yes, that does annoy me. I noticed that A2A have a Cub and have wondered if it is better in that respect. Anyone here had a play with their version?

The J-3 Cub (as per A2A and default model) is flown from the rear - the Cub and Super Cub are from the front

OK, thanks Paul. I have noticed that you can use the 'A' key to swap to the front seat but the view panning is fairly slow (in virtual cockpit) and I feel too close to the instruments unless I zoom way back and then that feels wrong too...
