Ian mentioned in another post the huge range of C-130 variants that have been made, as well as the B-707/C-135.....so i decided to open the hanger and drag a few of mine out.....amazing what they have done to the 707....just keeps going.
There are variants of variants....eg KC-135A, E, R and then all the rest TC, EC, NKC, VC, RC......names like Combat sent, rivet joint, speckled trout,........anyway, heres my lot.

Rugged, dependable airframe, of course you do things to it!
Just like the Herkie bird, it will fly with the strangest attachments...
Rivet Joint sends a little shiver up the spine.
You will not find a lot written about its purpose or capabilities

Cheers Ian......just watched a DVD on the 707/135.....some U.S Units will still be flying them in 2025....with the B-52's.....Boeing know how to build aircraft

If you look at it, the same was done to the Herc (as chral and you have said) but also the P-3, and to a lesser degree the Comet (Nimrod).....and i suppose the civi equivalent would have to be the 737, its up to 900 series now, plus the wedgetail, the poseidon......amazing company.

I think Mr Boeing must have been a KIWI.. ...we were the first country(outside the U.S) in the world to buy a Boeing.....way back when......

True, those names are interesting....."Combat Talon"(Herc) is another good one........

The original Boeing Seaplanes used on Auckland,s harbour shores , the two aircraft have been said to been stored somewhere in an old bunker off the mid twenties pre WWII .

Great screens, Marty. The B707 sure is a classic. So much so that I got suckered into buying it!! I must admit, though, my memory of it is rosier than the reality. Those engines look so puny (by today's standards)! Classic Boeing shape though!

Is the total absence of clouds a New Year resolution thing?

No not really Adam.....just thought i would snap them all on the ground for a change....but now Im flying them ....in the clouds
Those are all feeware from the HJG site...you have to download base packs, panels (no vc) and sounds.....takes forever....i just grab the aircraft and fly it from the outside

HJG Have a huge range of aircraft.....great repaints, a lot by Tony Madge ......just found some ANZ DC-8's.

Cheers ..no 7 is a bit odd..looks VIP but no windows..maybe VIC (very important cargo)? BTW the RAF is about to get Rivet Joints.
