Yeah, your right, an HP80 and a C-133 arent exactly your everyday sight.
I have actually seen, and looked inside an HP80 when i was a lot younger, at a show in Australia.

Sorry Charl, no slideshow. The screenies are just plain old on the fly screen captures using "Screenhunter 4.0". They were taken in 1280x1024 res, but i reduced them in size to 800x600 for posting. Frame rates were between 19 to 22.
As for the machine specs, well, it turned 3 years old last week. General specs are....
AMD Athlon XP3300+, 1.5gb DDR-400 RAM, 256mb nVidea FX6600GT3 Video Card, 2x 160gb SATA Hard Drives, 5.1 Surround Sound Card, Theatre Surround sound speakers( 5 and Sub), 19inch Philips TFT Monitor, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW, Saitek X-45 Dual unit Flight Control System.
The supplier of all components used in it was Tauranga Computers, and the builder was ME.
Nothing really special there my friend. When it was new, it was an absolute horse power monster in its day, but a little different nowadays compared to some of the newer dual and quad core stuff, and dual GPU vid cards.
Didnt think the screenies were that great....................

Dang I may have to do a two-step upgrade.
I was going to hold out for VISTA etc before taking the plunge but think how nice it would be to have FS9 perform the way the MS team imagined it might, at the end of it's life.
I'll take this thought to a new thread...

I dont imagine it would be terribly different from your own machine Charl, if its around the same age ???
Borrowed FSX from a friend. Ran it for a week, thought it was quite "pretty" straight out of the box (compared to FS9 out of the box), but NOTHING like my well sorted and fully sceneried FS9. No comparison there for me. Be staying with FS9 for some time to come.
And i dont think i will be jumping on the Vista bandwagon straight away, as i did with XP in November 2001. Bound to be a few little bugs in it (well, it IS an MS product after all,.............. say no more ??)

You are RIGHT. The HP80 DID have a little trouble with the runway at Ardy.
But as i said at the beginning, i only did it for the fun of it..............

at the Victor! I love the V-Bombers, and was fortunate to see some upclose when I visited Duxford! Please give me a link to where you found your one mate!?!

By the way- those PC specs are pretty impressive. I don't think my sim would handle more than 2 or 3 fps with that amount of AI

I didnt think my machine specs were that impressive, considering it turned 3 years old last week !!
The old V-Bombers have allways been a long time favourite of me as well, and i actually got to look inside one when i was younger (much younger), at an Airshow in Aussie.
Im sorry, but i dont remember where i got the Victor from. Had it a few years now.
Its by Kazunori Ito, and its filename is.......... hp80vict.zip (2.8mb zipped).
