Man, three weeks is a long time to do nothing but try and be friendly to your cousin. She's nice enough but very young for her age, she's three months younger than me. That also means she thinks she's pretty cool, but in reality it is just annoying! She follows me around all day, EVERYWHERE, example, I want some lunch she follows me into the kitchen, I want to post she come and stands and reads over my shoulder, I go to go to the boys room and she follows me there, then asks "what are you doing". not sure why because what else do you do in a toilet? Have a party? And after I reply by telling her I am in fact taking a pee, she then sits out side the bathroom waiting. She stays up, conveniently till I go to bead, and she is there the next morning. She goes on about how she is board, then when I ask her if she wants to play cards, scrabble, monopoly, pretty much anything she replies with "I don't feel like it," Which makes me want to slap her.
If I get a drink, she will get a drink but because I'm always a few seconds ahead of her, so she can follow me, I finish my drink first. I will put my glass on the bench and start to walk off, then my cousin will tip whats left in her glass into the sink, dump her glass on the bench and come trotting after me like a sheep! She has about as much initiative as a rock, she is as stubborn as a mule and gives up at the first hint of not winning, and sulks like a three year old. But even when she is sulky, she shadows my every move, still querying everything I do. She will jump out from behind doors to scare me, which isn't scary, just annoying, she can't give me the dice or the sauce the has to throw it at me and she creeps up behind me when I'm talking to someone and jabs her wingers into my sides, which makes me want to slap her even more. But I don't, because I am a nice person, and If i did she would invent a preposterous story to cover her behind like she does every other time. She cheats in games, who else says "Damn it" under there breath when they are caught picking up four cards instead of five. She is driving me insane!
Actually this is not my first flight in 3 weeks, but my second. My first flight was in a P-51 from Wanaka to Dunedin. I used every bit of "alone time" I had and do you know how long it took? 13 DAYS! I had to break it up into tiny 2 or three minute long segments that I would fly every time she was occupied.
So I am sitting here in the longest piece of uninterrupted time I have had since February 22nd, wondering how much longer she will stay. My only comfort is that I know there are people in Christchurch that are in a lot worse of a position than me.
Sorry about having to make you sit through this, but it is making me quite frustrated!
So to the screens, looks like the Aussies are in town with a Diamond Twin-Star from Iris, which is the most sensitive aircraft in history!
Preflight checks showing off the rather impressive animations.

Touch and goes are all I have time for today, before my cousin turns up again. . .

Thanks for sitting through that, sort of the only outlet i have at the present time.
