ohmy.gif Happened in the Middle East , 1948 ..Israel verse Egypt , it never stops with those Arabs , Spitfire against Spitfire tongue.gif even now the battle is virtually going on .

But, supreme irony, the first Egyptian Spit downed in that war was shot down by an Israeli Avia S-199!

Charl , your history is so prepared and well sourced to prove , so CZ 109s under the Star of Israel ... Irony is understated ... a German fighter in the hands off the Star , off all things one pilot from Israel was involved in the Battle of Britain , not sure if he was flying Spits but ill check that out .

Wonderful screen shots Brendan. How do you rate the Hurricane - it's one that I've been considering for some time, though at the moment the A2A spitfire is a little more tempting!
