Finally succumbed to temptation and got the A2A WPO3 spitfire. Surprisingly managed my first flights and circuits without cooking the engine!
Had to record some of the fun I was having and though these aren't anything different from what the rest of you have done they do provide me a record of a most enjoyable experience. Loved the spin characteristics! - Yes, I did recover Ian!

Whaddya mean "hardly any"? laugh.gif I positively inundated NZFF with mine!

@scaber - nice to hear you're looking after your new toy! If you follow the A2A forums, you'll get an idea as to just how much detail they put into that thing! I can't wait for the MkV ...

BTW - After waiting 6 years or so, I couldn't resist IL-2 "Cliffs of Dover". Their Spit is nowhere near as good as the A2A one. The sim itself is a veritable crock ... so don't get tempted!

P.S. Great screenies!!!

Thanks Adamski. Yes I spent quite some time reading the A2A forums and the comments there certainly helped make my decision easier - or maybe I should say "increased the temptation"! plane.gif

I did consider the "Cliffs of Dover" but luckily came across some users comments and so was saved from that one, sorry to hear that you were burnt (at least to some extent). sad.gif

Yes, I was disappointed that they chose the Mk I/II first but can assure you that the MkI/II is excellent. It is much better in the cockpit than the RA series and the external texture is a bit improvement too. I've already flown the RA spits and therefore was prepared for a disappointment by having to fly an early marque of the spit but can assure you that this is everything, and more, than the RA series. I didn't get the accusim add-on so can only speculate at the added realism that must give. Having had a good play around I now find myself considering getting that accusim add-on package for the extra features - though in this case other aircraft desires may get in the way!!

Go for it, you won't be disappointed. Ian has been after me for quite some time to get it, and as has always been the case, he was quite right with his recommendation. I'm one happy Virtual Pilot. thumbup1.gif

I knew Adamskie would reply to this post about lack of screen shots relating to the A2A spitfire. I can confirm Adamski it totaly addicted to this add-on. To give an idea of his addiction, recently Adamsky drove me to an open day at North Shore airfield. As we drove Adamski commented that he keeps looking at the temperature gage in his car as the spitfire would be overheating by now!!!

Anyway these are an excellent selection of screen shots of this excellent add on

thanks
Bob

Sad, but true ... I think it's a case of "life imitating the add-on"! laugh.gif

Oooooh ... now there's a nice thought! wub.gif My current car's fine - but my old one was capable of overheating faster than a MkII Spit in Africa!
