Just watched an interview with a guy from france who flys one of these(flying legends 2005). Amazing power....no torque... he said...."r doont evn nid to poot ma fit on zur pidels at ol "......unquote.

Yeah ok Marty , Realair Spit rotol have a prop go's this way and prop go a thata way ... which way unsure.gif

She was a great machine Mr W....would out perform any similar mk at the time....shorter take off run, major improvement in the climb...speed to spare....and it looks good to.
Did they ever do anything more with it?

The time they where playing around Jets and lost interest in the Spitfire , another base type or lead was the Spiteful , course that went the same way and with the war ending went on the scrap heap .

Its a shame....who knows, they may have ended up hanging a turboprop on it. The only other contra prop brits i know of are the Shack, and the Gannet....they both look good.

And its funny to think the Shack lasted well into the late 1970s and was talk about putting them back in service for the Falklands War .

The Wyrvern was a turbo prop contra, a bit of a handful in FS though. smile.gif
